An all-day workshop

Suitable for
years 5 to 7

Unlike our other workshops, the Mission to Mars Workshop is about building soft skills. Using real data from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), the students, working in teams, have to determine the best place to land a Mars rover and what route it will take on its mission.

This workshop focuses on using data in graphs, tables, and images to solve a problem as a team. It builds numerical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

In the afternoon, the team needs to design and test a soft-landing system for the Mars rover using limited resources.
